Consortium for Aerospace Research and Innovation Canada (CARIC)

As a follow-up to the Emerson report on Canada’s competitiveness in Aerospace which identifies collaborative research as a key enabler, the Consortium for Aerospace Research and Innovation in Canada was established in 2014 to provide a Canada wide organization to facilitate collaborative Aerospace Research. Manitoba Aerospace hosts the CARIC Regional Director for the Central region (Manitoba and Saskatchewan), working closely with the local Aerospace research community while ensuring Manitoba Aerospace Research priorities are represented at the national level and enabling national collaboration and funding opportunities. Key events include the Regional Research Forum typically held during Manitoba Aerospace Week in June and local workshops held in conjunction with Manitoba Aerospace throughout the year in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
