Manitoba Aerospace Human Resource Council programs impact both workers currently employed in the sector and young people who are the potential aerospace workers of the future.
MAHRC has extensive outreach programming available to students from elementary through high school along with support for post secondary opportunties for youth (see Career Awareness, Career Pathways and the New Hires).
Programs for Existing Workers
Financial support through MARHC’s cost shared training program for member companies ensures that current workers enhance their current skills base with training specific to the job they do.
In addition, MAHRC coordinates training based on the aggregated needs of the sector (see the Training Calendar).
The Manitoba Aerospace Student Awards Endowment Fund provides financial awards to students to help them access rewarding, enduring careers in the aerospace industry.
Each year the Manitoba Aerospace Association (MAA) and Manitoba Aerospace Human Resource Council (MAHRC) hold an Aerospace All-Stars Awards gala event to celebrate the aerospace industry in Manitoba and recognize excellence in the aerospace community.
This mini symposium is designed to let Grade 6 students participate in hands-on activities that focus on four major aspects of the aerospace and aviation sectors: Repair/Overhaul, Manufacturing/Composites, Space and Flight.
Each year in September, the Manitoba Aerospace Association (MAA) and Manitoba Aerospace Human Resource Council (MAHRC) host a golf tournament to support the Manitoba Aerospace Student Awards Endowment Fund.
