Career Development

The Manitoba Aerospace Industry currently employs over 5000 people in 20 companies in the province of Manitoba. This is a result of steady growth in the last 15 years of the industry and the ability of our training/educational institutions to provide a reliable stream of well trained employees.

In the last number of years, educational institutions have graduated hundreds of students that are ready to enter full time roles in industry. The quality of the graduates as well as the cooperation with the aerospace industry have given rise to an extremely high success rate (for example 78% of the graduates of the Aerospace Manufacturing & Maintenance Orientation Program (AMMOP) at Tec Voc High School are working in aerospace or are currently enrolled in aerospace programs at the Post Secondary level). These figures suggest that, in both the short & long terms, the aerospace industry provides excellent career opportunities.

Graduates of aerospace training programs can expect to enter the workforce and receive an income that is 37% higher than the Manitoba Average Industrial Wage. This prospect makes Aerospace a career choice that is sound economically and secure over the long term.

The essence of the message that we want to deliver is that Manitoba offers first class training/education opportunities for top notch, good paying careers and you don’t have to leave the province.
