In partnership with the CME, Manitoba Aerospace is pleased to present as our feature speaker, NASA test pilot Einar Enevoldson discussing the Perlan 2 mission to build and fly a pressurized sailplane to 90,000 feet – higher than any other manned wing borne aircraft has ever flown in sustained flight – using stratospheric mountain waves and the polar vortex.
Einar is an aeronautical engineer and experimental test pilot and is currently Chairman of the Perlan Project. Einar flew as an experimental test pilot with NASA Dryden Flight Research Center and spent 13 years as USAF fighter pilot in F86 and F104.
