Advanced Composite Structures

Advanced Composite Structures is a world leader in Rotor Blade and Composite Structure repair technologies for fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. They provide helicopter rotor blade and composite structure repairs for Bell, Eurocopter, MD Helicopters, Schweizer and Sikorsky helicopter models.

Advanced Composites Structures also provides fixed-wing aircraft composite repairs for Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Cessna, DeHavelland, Pilatus, Fokker and many other aircraft models.


Aero Recip

Founded in 1998, Aero Recip is the largest piston engine overhaul shop in Canada. Their experienced technicians and industry specialists have consistently delivered quality, service and respect.

Located in the centre of North America, with 31,800 square feet and the largest core-pool in the country, quick turnaround is the standard.

EnviroTREC is a non-profit organization that is partnered with GLACIER, a limited partnership between Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney.

The EnviroTREC assets include all of the test systems and the thrust stand which are located at the GLACIER Facility in Thompson, Manitoba.  This facility is the most modern engine icing certification facility in the world. It is capable of testing engines whose fan diameter is up to 140 inches while producing up to 150,000 pounds of thrust.


Fast Air Executive Aviation Services

Fast Air Executive Aviation is a premier provider of industry leading aviation services.  Based at the Richardson Winnipeg International Airport, they offer executive turboprop and jet charter, air ambulance, aircraft management, and helicopter services out of their private business class terminal.

Fast Air is a certified AMO, authorized for maintenance on a wide range of aircraft, including Bell 206 series helicopters. Fast Air holds instrument, avionics, structures, and component ratings and offers a variety of avionics capabilities in their Transport Canada approved avionics shop.  Fast Air is an authorized dealer for Garmin Flight Deck and Avionics products.


GE Aviation Canada

GE Aviation Canada operates the Research Testing and Development Centre in Winnipeg and a manufacturing plant in Bromont, Quebec.

GE Aviation engines power over 80% of the RCAF aircraft and 62% of global commercial airliners and executive jets. GE also supports its products in country by working with well-established Canadian-based repair and overhaul entities, including Standard Aero, Magellan and Vector Aerospace.

Keewatin Air

Keewatin Air offers a variety of ground support services, ranging from aircraft maintenance to aircraft hangarage.

The company’s northern bases offer support for visiting aviators and often provide a safe haven in inclement weather. Keewatin Air offers: Transport Canada Approved AMO with experience on Beechcraft King Air and 1900 aircraft, Pilatus PC 12 aircraft and Learjet aircraft; Hangar facilities in Churchill, Rankin Inlet, and Iqaluit; and de-icing, marshalling, and GPU starts in Churchill, Rankin Inlet, and Iqaluit.


KF Aerospace

KF Aerospace, formally Kelowna Flightcraft, is dedicated to providing superior aircraft maintenance services, aircraft leasing and defence training programs.

KF Aerospace Defence Programs provides fleet support, fleet upgrade programs, and full turnkey solutions.  KF Aerospace provides FWSAR & RCAF Pilot Training and has been a  proud supporter of DND programs in Canada for over 25 years.



Magellan Aerospace, Winnipeg has over 85 years of knowledge and experience in the aerospace industry. The main facility is located in Winnipeg, MB, and there are also satellite locations in Rockwood, MB and Ottawa, ON. The company employs about 700 people.

Magellan manufactures complex aeroengine components and advanced aerostructures fabrications, as well as proprietary products; including small satellite buses, propulsion products, and the Wire Strike Protection System (WSPS™) for civil and military helicopters.

MDs AeroTest

Founded in 1985, MDs has steadily risen to a position of global prominence in the provision of turnkey test facilities and test systems for the aviation, industrial, and marine gas turbine engine community . Through its subsidiary, MDs Aerotest, is operating and maintaining the largest and most advanced cold weather test and research facility for gas turbines in the world.



MicroPilot is the leading manufacturer of miniature autopilots for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and micro aerial vehicles (MAV). Weighing 28 grams, the MP2028 is the world’s smallest full functional autopilot. Capabilities include airspeed hold, altitude hold, turn coordination, GPS navigation, plus autonomous operation from launch to recovery.

With a global roster of more than 200 clients in over 44 countries, MicroPilot sells autopilots and autopilot accessories worldwide to academic, military, and private research institutions, as well as to UAV end users and manufacturers.


Neeginan College of Applied Technology/CAHRD

Neeginan College of Applied Technology is CAHRD’s in-house technical and vocational post-secondary training division.  CAHRD works closely in partnership with industry, business and training institutions to ensure that our students are prepared for jobs in high-demand industries.

Neeginan College offers a variety of full-time training programs that deliver hands-on work experience in a sustainable career.  Neeginan College provides free information sessions on the current programs followed by a tour of our college facilities.

Propworks Propeller Systems

PropWorks was established in 1999 in Winnipeg. In 2006, they opened a second location in Edmonton. In 2015, the Winnipeg shop moved to their current location on Bannister Road. In the 22 years they have been in business, they have grown to be the largest aircraft propeller overhaul and repair company in Western Canada with over 25,000 square feet of space and almost 30 employees, 20 of whom are in Winnipeg. The path to growth in our industry is to continually expand their capabilities and that has always been their approach. They have a truly international clientele with work coming in from Canada, the United States, Africa and South America.


Red River College – Stevenson Campus

Manitoba is home to the third largest aerospace sector in Canada – and Red River College, Stevenson Campus is an active partner, training our workforce to participate in all aspects of the aviation and aerospace sector. RRC grads are found throughout industry – overhauling aircraft engines, maintaining aircraft, building components, or in management positions such as Directors of Maintenance and Quality Assurance.


Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada

The Royal Aviation Museum was founded in 1974 to preserve and share the stories of Canada’s aviation history through exhibits of bush planes, military aircraft, and some of Canada’s earliest aviation innovations. Its collection includes the remains of nearly 100 heritage aircraft including Canada’s first helicopter, the prototype Fairchild Super 71, and the Junkers JU-52/1m “Flying Boxcar” which can be seen nowhere else in the world. The new Royal Aviation Museum will share the stories of Manitoba’s early aviators and the birth of commercial aviation in Canada while providing STEM-based interactive experiences for visitors of all ages. The new Museum will be located adjacent to the Winnipeg James A. Richardson International Airport and is set to open in late 2021.


Southport Aerospace Centre Inc.

Southport is a not-for-profit property management and development company, located 3 km south of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Canada. Its goal is to establish a world-class business centre balanced with lifestyle, wellness, and recreation facilities. Featuring aviation and aerospace training facilities, research and development of new products, light manufacturing, educational institutions, beautiful open spaces, a golf course, and a fitness centre. Southport is also the proud home of 3 Canadian Forces Flight Training School.

West Canitest R&D Inc., formerly known as WestCaRD, is a not-for-profit corporation that facilitates economic, technical and specialized workforce development and growth opportunities in the environmental testing, research and development sector in Manitoba.   In partnership with GE Canada and StandardAero, WestCaRD undertakes aircraft engine testing as well as research and technology development at unique test facilities located at the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport.


Winnipeg Airports Authority (WAA)

Winnipeg Airports Authority is a community-based, non-share capital corporation that operates, manages, maintains and invests in your community airport, Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport. Control of the airport was transferred from the federal government to WAA on January 1, 1997.
