Working Safely with Robotics in the Workplace event at ITC

The first industrial robot was installed in 1962 for automotive spot welding and casting extraction. Since that time, robotic work cells have proliferated to the point of being commonplace. However, the workplace health and safety impact of robotics may not be clearly understood.
Join us as we host an information session on Robotics and Workplace Safety.
Manitoba’s Workplace Safety and Health Regulation has specific requirements for ensuring worker safety when working with, or around, robots. Workplace Safety and Health enforces CAN/CSA Standard – Z434-03, Industrial Robots and Robot Systems – General Safety Requirements. These specific requirements are in addition to general requirements for workers working with machines and tool. Learn how to interpret and apply these section of the regulation in a robotic work cell.

- Ensure that workers comply with the Workplace Safety and Health Act & Regulations
